Day 1 Gauteng (Day of arrival)
Meet at O.R.Tambo Int.(Johannesburg). Transfer to hotel. Early check-in. Rest of the day at leisure (lunch for own account). Afternoon visit to the Apartheid Museum (closed on Mondays)

12h00 Depart from the hotel for a tour of Soweto, largest black township in South Africa (Apartheid Museum closed on Mondays). Tour some of the suburbs of this flat sprawling and vibrant city. Lunch at Chez Alina Township Restaurant, served by the local people. Walk to the house of Emiritus Arch-Bishop Desmond Tutu, Nobel Peace Prize Winner. Visit the Nelson Mandela Museum, where he lived with Winnie Madikizela-Mandela and their children. Visit the Hector Petersen Memorial, where the 1976 unrest in South Africa started. Day 3 Mpumalanga Panorama Route
07h00 Depart from the hotel to Mpumalanga (Eastern Transvaal), a place so beautiful authors run out of adjectives to describe its beauty. Lunch en route in Dullstroom, heart of the trout-fishing area. The Great Escarpment offers breathtaking sightseeing views of mountains and valley. God’s Window, Bourke’s Luck Potholes and the Blyde River Canyon. Historical towns like Pilgrims Rest were in the midst of the gold rush in the 1870’s. Today, Pilgrims Rest a proclaimed national monument, takes you back to an era when people from all over the world flocked to this region to find their fortunes. Dinner at hotel. Day 4 Kruger National Park
After an early breakfast we leave Hazyview and enter Kruger Park at Phabeni Gate. Start the most thrilling and exhilarating experience in your life, hunting the Big Five with anything from a discardable to a super zoom camera or video camera in the Kingdom of African Wildlife. Light lunch at Skukuza is the main camp of the Kruger National Park with its own airport, post office, bank, shops and restaurants. Drive to the south of the park in search of game.Check in at Berg-en-Dal Camp. Rest of the afternoon at leisure. Overnight Kruger National Park Rest Camp (DLBB) Distance = 200km
Day 5 : Thursday 16 October 2008 - Kruger National Park
08h00. After breakfast we cruise to the north of the park to Lower Sabie. If time allows us we can drive as far north as Oliphants Camp. Light lunch en route. Numerous opportunities for game-viewing at the waterholes on the route. Meet at 16h45 for a 3-hour night game drive in an open vehicle in search of the night prowlers in action.
Return for buffet dinner at Skukuza Camp. Overnight Skukuza, Kruger National Park (DLBB) Distance = 200km (inside the park)
Day 6 Swaziland (Ezulwini and Mlilwane)
06h00 Early morning self game drive to enjoy the sunrise and the awakening of the bushveld. Nocturnal predators return to their dens after the night’s hunting. Enjoy breakfast at Afsaal picnic spot. After breakfast we leave and head towards the south of the park. Last game-viewing opportunities the Jack of the Bushveld Monument. Exit at Malelane-gate. Enter the Kingdom of Swaziland at Jeppes Reef and enjoy the beauty of the countryside and the friendly people. Lunch en route. Crawl up along Piggs Peak to Mbabane, capital of Swaziland. Enter the Ezulwini Valley. Visit the Ezulwini craft market. Arrive at the Mlilwane Royal Swazi National Park. Take a walk amongst the game in the park. After dinner join in the traditional dancing rhythms of the Swazis under the stars.

Day 7 Zululand (eMakosini Valley)
07h00 Take an early morning walk in the Mlilwane Royal National Park. Leave the Ezulwini Valley and travel via Big Bend and exit Swaziland at Lavumisa into Kwazulu Natal. Visit the heartland of the Zulu nation where Zulu warriors fought fierce battles against British troops (1979). Lunch en route. Arrive Shakaland, welcomed by Zulu dancers and escorted to our rooms.
16h30 Evening entertainment in true Zulu tradition in the home of the mighty King Shaka. Experience the pulsating tribal rhythms, assegai –wielding warriors and the mysterious Sangoma interpreting messages from the spirits. Dinner in the Zulu tradition.

Day 8 Durban coastal beach
09h00 After breakfast we continue with the Nandi cultural experience at Shakaland. Umgundgundlovu, the seat of power of King Dingane (from 1828 to 1839) his royal kraal and headquarters.
11h00 Depart Shakaland and continue along the North Beaches to Durban. Check in at the hotel. The rest of the afternoon at leisure to enjoy the beaches and shopping on the beachfront.
Dinner at Jewel of India Restaurant for a true Indian experience.

Day 9 Eastern Cape Sunshine Coast
After a late breakfast we take a quick swim in the Indian Ocean or shopping on the beachfront.
10h30 Transfer from the hotel to Durban Airport for your flight to Port Elizabeth. Light lunch at the airport after check-in.
13h07 Depart on flight MN762 (Kulula) to Port Elizabeth
14h30 Arrive in Port Elizabeth and transfer to your guest house. Take a walk on the beach. Rest of the day at leisure. Dinner at 34º South restaurant on the Boardwalk.

Day 10 Addo Elephant National Park
08h00 After an early breakfast, we depart from Port Elizabeth for Addo National Elephant Park. Game-drive (self) through the park in search of the gentle giants. Stop at Hap-oor dam, named after an elephant bull which was shot by hunters through the ear, and terrorised visitors for years. The Park introduced a few lions to increase the status to a BIG FIVE Game Reserve. Afternoon lunch at the Restaurant. Watch the Elephants come to drink at the water hole overlooking the main camp. Game-drive back to Hap-oor Dam. Dinner at Addo Restaurant. After dinner watch the nocturnal animals drinking water at a floodlit dam.

Day 11 Tsitsikamma
06h00 Early morning game drive (self-drive). Depart Addo after breakfast. Drive through the beautiful Eastern Cape via Jeffrey’s Bay, known for the surfing waters and long rollers. Enter the Tsitsikamma Mountains and The Garden Route. Lunch en route. Visit the Tsitsikamma National Park and the Storms River Mouth. Take a walk through the forest and cross the Storms River swing-bridge. Enjoy the beauty of the rugged coast with breath-taking waves, forest and the river overlooking the sea.
Enjoy the rest of the afternoon. Dinner at Tsitsikamma Restaurant.

Day 12 : Thursday 23 October 2008 - Garden Route
09h00 After a sumptuous breakfast, we take a walk to The Big Tree, (an 800 year old Yellowwood tree) in the forest. Leave Tsitsikamma and enter the Garden Route and the South Cape, across spectacular gorges and the world famous Bloukrans Bridge for bungi jumping. Travel through Nature’s Valley to Plettenberg Bay, playing fields of the rich and famous. Arrive in Knysna. Light lunch at The Knysna Waterfront. Opportunities for shopping at The Waterfront and craft markets. Stop on top of the Eastern Heads for spectacular views of the Knysna lagoon and the town. Dinner at Knysna Hollow

Day 13 The Little Karoo
Last-minute shopping at the Knysna Waterfront.
09h30 Depart on the Knysna ferry across the lagoon to the Feather-bed Nature Reserve on the Western Heads. Take a tractor-trailer ride to the top of the mountain. Optional one hour walk down the slopes through the Milkwood forest and along the shores to the restaurant. Enjoy a delicious seafood lunch. Return to town.
14h00 Continue to Oudtshoorn over the Outeniqua Mountain Pass. Enter The Little Karoo, a dry and arid region, wedged in between the Swartberg and Outeniqua Mountains. Visit Oudtshoorn, the Ostrich Capital of the world. Arrive at the Cango Ostrich Show Ranch for a guided tour of the ostrich farm. Meet, kiss and hug the largest flightless birds in the world. Dinner at Oue Werf

Day 14 Route 62
08h30 Depart after breakfast for the world famous Cango Caves.
09h00 Take a walk in the belly of these remarkable caves, superbly decorated with stalagmites and stalactites.
10h30 Return to Oudtshoorn and continue through the Little Karoo and the famous Route 62, flanked by the Great Swartberge in the north and the Outeniqua Mountains in the south, to Calitzdorp capital of the Port wines, and Ladismith.
13h00 Lunch at the Country Pumpkin in Barrydale. Continue through Montagu and Worcester. Arrive in Cape Town late. Dinner at the hotel

Day 15 The Cape Peninsula
The Cape Peninsula Tour takes you on an unforgettable journey through our floral kingdom, panoramic drives along the Atlantic Ocean and False Bay. Enjoy the frolicking of our endangered African Jackass Penguins in the tranquil waters of Boulders. Visit Simon’s Town with its historical buildings and Naval Base. Stop at the monument of the famous World War Two naval dog, Able Seaman Just Nuisance at Jubilee Square. 12h00 Return to mainland. Light lunch at the Waterfront. Visit Table Mountain for a cable car ride to the top. Take a leisurely walk on top of the world. Enjoy a 360 degree panoramic view of the Mother City, Robben Island, the ocean and the Cape Flats. Return to the Waterfront for last shopping at Green Market Square.
